GROOVE AUDIO STREAM UNAVAILABLE (since 21/11/21 NZST)

The new Groove FM online audio stream currently being tested. Give it a try on right =>

Unfortunately our Streaming host appears to have shut down without warning and the stream is currently unavailable. We are considering our options for the future and working to get it restored.

While you're experiencing what it would be like to be with out Groove, please consider donating money now!

We urgently need to replace some equipment and find a new host to ensure this doesn't happen in the future.

At the moment we aren't running any commercials on-air and we like it that way but we can't maintain it let alone replace equipment unless more good people like you subscribe or donate. If you'd like to keep Groove on-air and commercial free, please use the buttons to the right :)
Stream sponsorship is available too.
Please let us know if you would like to sponsor the stream for a mere NZ$30 a week. Contact details bottom right of this page.

Groove audio stream BACK ONLINE! - Updated 21 Sept.

We're trialling the newer AACPlus streaming format which means it uses half the amount of data but the same or better audio quality! For example, if you have just a 3GB data plan, you can now listen 3 hours a day, every single day of the month and still have heaps of your plan left! As a bonus, with most tracks, you get a look at the album cover as well.

Please try out the player on the right and let us know your thoughts or any issues you have. If you can't listen on another website or way that you used to, please let us know.
It's also back up and running on mobile devices (through the Tunein app and, as of 20/9/12 on the NZ Radio app).

Click here to open a link to listen on your PC through Winamp, I-tunes, Windows media player (Vers 12), Media player classic, VLC etc. Note: With Windows media player, you need to click the seek bar to get it started.

So, the stream is back up but we need your support to keep it there. (Donate/Subscribe below the player).

Ever wondered what that great track was?

For everyone who wonders what that great track they heard on Groove was we bring...

Another advance from the Groove 107.7FM technical boffins: We are now sending song title and artist information with the online audio stream so you can see the names and artists as they are playing. But wait, there's more...in some players (like on our site) it'll also show a photo or album cover of the artist! Try out the player on our this page or the Shows page.

The song/artist info will also show in other players like I-tunes, Tunein etc.
There's also a list of previously played tracks at the Groove Tunein page but there is a bit of a problem at the Tunein website end currently and it misses some here and there. Let us know if it would be useful to you to have a list like this on our own site.

New player works worldwide!

We went out and got ourselves a nice new radio (on the right) so that everyone can listen no matter what country you live in.

If it won't work for you or if you'd like to listen while checking out our links or other web pages, use this Alternate player link (Tunein radio) to play the audio stream.

Please let us know if the player doesn't work for you, along with the country you are in. Drop us a line at chat@groovefm.co.nz and use the alternate player in the meantime.

Also let us know if it would be useful to you to have the other player back up somewhere so that you can 'Pause live radio' and not miss that great tune or interview.

Save on data!

We've also re-jigged the streaming doofer (installed and configured a new streaming encoder) so that it will now use at least 25% less of your data (good for mobile devices) but should still be CD quality stereo!

Have a listen. For example, if you have just a 3GB per month data plan you could listen to Groove for 2 hours a day, every day of the month! (128Kb/s).
(I feel like I could get a sales job for an Internet service provider).
